
Course Description
The course is designed to meet the education requirements for employees whose duties include those of a food safety supervisor within the retail, hospitality and transport and distribution industries. Food workers in the food processing or health and community services industries please consult our safe food handling page.
This course is modular and contains sections about:
• Implementing procedures for food safety including principles and methods of food production;
• HACCP Critical Control Points in the food production system;
• Storing food safely;
• Preparing food safely;
• Providing safe single use items;
• Maintaining a clean environment;
• Disposing of food safely.
This course includes three, end of lesson multiple choice assessments plus students will need to demonstrate to their workplace supervisor that they can calibrate a temperature probe and operate equipment found within their workplace.
This course is interactive and narrated.

Mode of Delivery
This course is delivered online. A workplace skills appraisal is required to be conducted as part of the assessment process. Further information about requirements of this appraisal can be found on our http://australianonlinecollege.com.au page.
Accreditation
This course has been developed to meet the requirements of the national unit of competency SITXFSA001A - Implement Food Safety Procedures and is delivered as National Recognised Training under the Australian Quality Training Framework by the Australian Online College Pty Ltd RTO #32289.
